So, I guess you guys can identify the images on the left. It's those idiots from ISIS destroying historical artefacts at the Iraqi city of Nimrud. These so-called Muslims are in reality some fucked up morons who are using their very twisted interpretation of the old books to spread destruction and chaos.
Before them we had the Taliban, another messed-up horde of dimwits, destroying the Buddhas of Bamiyan and God knows what else in Afghanistan.
But it is curious that is the complete reversal of roles of what happened before, almost 1000 years ago.
Back then we had the European Christian kingdoms embarking on the crusades to capture land from the Moorish. Even though I like to check Wikipedia to gather more factual data, I will play by heart here and say that during the crusades the civilized Europeans would kill everyone and destroy everything that was not Christian, including of course books and ancient artefacts.
The Muslim people actually did the opposite. They allowed Christians and others to stay in their land and kept the artefacts mostly intact (apart from the normal destruction caused by battle). And back then, they were still very fresh in terms of the teachings from the Prophet.
Only after 1000 years of corruption of the old teachings, and a lot of influence and hate due to the many interferences and manipulations by the rich and powerful western countries, that we see these guys wrecking all in their path.
All in name of a religion that used to be the less violent and destructive of the 3 largest Abrahamic religions.
I guess it is just normal seeing how we shaped our own world.
I don't see a quick stop to this nonsense. I do know that once they don't have artefacts to destroy, they will be hammering the heads of their own, as we have seen it already when ISIS fighters forget their own rules or when they try to run back to Europe.
Unfortunately many other things will be smashed, with cracks and scars that can last 1000 years more, until ISIS is no more...
